Our goal is to help you escape into nature, a little bit everyday. Whether it’s long walks in the woods or sitting on your front steps at home. The purpose is to get everyone tuned into the natural environment, no matter where you are.

5 Minutes Outside

We challenge you to try and spend 5 minutes outside everyday. While five minutes might not seem like much, taking the time for yourself and intentionally going outside can make a difference. It can be as simple as sitting on your steps, walking the dog or even walking neighborhood. Anything outside is a success. #5minutesoutside

Nature Mindfulness

Nature Mindfulness with The Mountain Outpost is discovering unique ways to create a calm mind, a healthy body, and a peaceful life with nature, in nature; through education, creativity, and mindfulness. Spending time in nature can be a powerful antidote to the stress of modern living, the great outdoors is profoundly good for us on all levels.

Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing. Shinrin-yoku. Forest Therapy. Many names for the medicine of being in the forest. It refers to the practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness. Practicing Forest Bathing produces lower levels of the stress hormone Cortisol in the blood system, indicating a reduction in stress. The practice follows the general principle that it is beneficial to spend time in the atmosphere of the forest.

We offer walks are designed for nature-loving and nature-curious people – who may be feeling a bit out of sorts, overwhelmed, over-scheduled, over-reactive – so you can reclaim your best self and bring it forth to this precious life, to your relationships, to your work and, of course, to the Earth.

  • 1:1 Forest Bathing Nature Walk (2-3 hours)

  • Virtual Sessions (1 hour)

  • Small Group Sessions up to 6 people (2-3 hours)

  • Custom offerings based on your needs

We offer a sliding-scale payment option, where you pay the amount that works for you. Money is like water, sometimes it flows abundantly, other times it trickles in. I have been in both situations and have benefited from the generosity of countless people along my journey. This is a way to continue to be a part of that stream. The Mountain Outpost Forest Bathing sessions are intended to educate, inspire and entertain you on your personal journey toward wellbeing and happiness.
